Arlington County Community Development Citizens Advisory Committee
Advises the Arlington County Board about various aspects of the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program.
Fairfax Area Commission on Aging
Informs the community of the needs of the elderly and makes legislative and budgetary recommendations to City Council and the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors on issues faced by the elderly.

Fairfax Area Disability Services Board
Advises City of Falls Church, the City of Fairfax, and Fairfax County about the service needs of persons with physical and sensory disabilities and implements the Americans with Disabilities Act.
Fairfax-Falls Church Community Services Board
Oversees the mental health, mental retardation, and substance abuse treatment services of the City of Falls Church, the City of Fairfax, and Fairfax County.
Health Systems Agency of Northern Virginia
Plans for the healthcare needs of the area and works with other regional groups on healthcare issues.

Long-Term Coordinating Council
Studies long-term care in Fairfax County, the City of Falls Church, and the City of Fairfax to develop a strategic plan to meet the critical challenges that demographic changes will bring to the community.

Northern Virginia Community College Board
Provides local leadership and approves items for recommendation to the Virginia Community College Board.

Northern Virginia Juvenile Detention Commission
Advises the Northern Virginia Juvenile Detention Center, which works to prevent and reduce juvenile crime through partnerships with families, schools, communities, law enforcement, and other agencies.
Northern Virginia Regional Park Authority
Owns and administers more than 10,000 acres of parkland owned cooperatively by the Cities of Alexandria, Fairfax, and Falls Church, and the Counties of Arlington, Fairfax, and Loudoun.
Northern Virginia Workforce Investment Board
Provides quality workforce development services in Northern Virginia, helping businesses attract and retain highly skilled workers and giving workers the skills they need to become employable.
