The 2019 FCCPS Spring Break starts on April 15, and the City of Falls Church Recreation and Parks Department plenty to keep your student engaged over the break.

ETC’s Storytellers Take the Stage

Everything is a story, you just have to tell it! With Education Theatre Company (ETC), students will gain the tools to be a master teller of tales and have everyone hanging on their every word. Whether it's the hero(ine), magician, or thief, students will work together to use their voices, bodies, and imaginations as they create unique characters and act out original stories. Family and friends are invited to attend a final sharing on the last day of camp.

Giant Basketball Academy


Former Washington Wizards and New Jersey Nets player Gheorghe Muresan and his coaches will teach the fundamentals of basketball. This camp will feature 1-on-1 skills, shooting, team play, defensive positioning, speed drills and competitions to further develop all-around players.

MiKiDo Future Champion Camp

 
This camp promotes and develops skills of fitness, teamwork, discipline, confidence, self-defense, conflict resolution, and focus, while learning Martial Arts basics with WCRB Karate. Fitness components emphasis: Endurance, Flexibility, Strength, and Coordination. It also offers different educational fun, game and structured activities to keep the camper engaged in a fun and safe environment.

Whimsical Week of HP! 


Join us for a week of wizardry inspired by the J.K. Rowling series. Come explore the same subjects that Harry studied at Hogwarts including Astronomy, Potions, Defense Against the Dark Arts, Divination, Transfiguration, Herbology, and much more! Other activities include wand making, house sorting, Quidditch, a Horcrux scavenger hunt, and other wizarding treats.

Blast Into the Past

 
The 1845 Cherry Hill farmhouse provides the perfect setting to experience a girl’s life in mid-19th century rural Virginia. Campers will make 19th century crafts, dress in period clothing, enjoy parlor games, cook, and become amateur archaeologists as they learn about life in the 1800s.
