The proposed amendment to the Zoning Ordinance is intended to: (a) clarify meaning where ambiguity has been identified in the course of administering the ordinance, (b) reflect recent changes to Virginia State Code, and (c) remove general errors.

The following was read at the November 23, 2023 City Council meeting. A public hearing and City Council action is scheduled for Monday, December 11, 2023 at 7:30 p.m., or as soon thereafter as the matter may be heard.

(TR23-36) RESOLUTION REQUESTING THAT THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY AMEND SECTION 4.14, “APPOINTMENTS,” OF THE CHARTER OF THE CITY OF FALLS CHURCH TO REQUIRE THAT APPOINTED MEMBERS TO CITY BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS BE AT LEAST 18 YEARS OF AGE AND RESIDENTS OF THE CITY, AND REMOVING THE REQUIREMENT THAT THEY BE QUALIFIED VOTERS OF THE CITY
