The five member Committee will provides the City Council in the development of the City's 20 year Solid Waste Management Plan.

The Committee is charged with the duties to address the following tasks:

  • Review the City’s current solid waste management program.
  • Evaluate the needs and opportunities for solid waste management in the City of Falls Church during the next twenty years.
  • Provide guidance to City staff and the consultant in the drafting of the Solid Waste Management Plan.
  • Conduct public hearings and consult with key stakeholders.
  • Present a draft plan to City Council no later than March 2024.
