75 Year Anniversary Scavenger Hunt Series 

  • Then vs. Now Scavenger Hunt 
  • November 17 to November 27, 2023

Celebrate the City of Falls Church's 75 Year Anniversary through the Then versus Now Scavenger Hunt, a self-lead scavenger hunt through the City taking you back in time to the earliest days of the City of Falls Church after being founded as a city in 1948.

Using the scavenger hunt form on your phone or print out at home, there's 8 pictures and clues from The Little City's past. Follow each clue and snap a picture (with you and your friends!) where these original pictures were taken capturing what the location looks like now.

75th Anniversary Kick-Off Event

Local, regional, and state representatives joined City Council members to kick-off the City's 75th Anniversary with the special logo reveal at the Falls Church Festival on September 24, 2023.

Flag Raising Ceremony

Proclamations and Commendation Letters

  • At the August 7, 2023 meeting, City Council presented a proclamation celebrating the 75th anniversary of the City. Read the proclamation here and watch the clip from the meeting below.
  • U.S. Senator Mark Warner wrote the City of Falls Church a commendation letter in recognition of 75 years as an independent city. The letter was presented at the kick-off event held during the Falls Church Festival. Read the letter here.
