The City of Falls Church Farmers Market welcomes musical guests to add vibrancy and joy to the farmers market experience!
The market is open every Saturday year-round in rain, snow, or shine and we enjoy having musicians join us any Saturday of the year!
The market has two opportunities every week for musical performers, one spot on the eastern side of the market and one spot on the western side.
All musicians interested in applying to perform should review the Musician Guidelines below and then submit a request to play this season.
For more information about performing, please reach out to the Market Manager, Jennifer Brady, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
City of Falls Church Farmers Market Musician Guidelines
Musicians may perform a maximum of once/month.
All equipment and supplies must be provided by the musician. Battery-powered amplification is allowed, but no electricity is available on site. The Market Manager has the right to monitor and control the volume of the amplification. If the amplification is too loud, a musician may be asked to turn the amplification off.
The farmers market is a family-friendly venue. Musicians must play music that is appropriate for all ages.
Musicians under the age of 17 must be accompanied by a parent or an adult supervisor for the duration of their performance.
Musicians are responsible for securing all required licensing rights permitting the use of copyrighted materials prior to their performance.
The market operates from 8 a.m. to Noon from April through December and from 9 a.m. to Noon from January through March. Musicians must have enough material to play for the full length of the farmers market, unless a shorter performance time has been approved in advance by the Market Manager.
The farmers market is an outdoor event and open rain or shine. Musicians will not be rescheduled due to weather.
Tents are only allowed on the east side performer location and only to be used in the event of bad weather. Any guest using a tent must secure the tent with a minimum of 25 pounds of weights per each tent leg. In the event a tent is not properly secured, the Market Manager will ask the musician to take down their tent.
Musicians are welcome to collect tips and donations.
Only musical performers who have read these guidelines, submitted an application to perform, received approval from the Market Manager and have been scheduled by the Market Manager are able to perform at the farmers market.
If you agree to abide by the City of Falls Church Farmers Market Musician Guidelines and would like to submit a request to perform and provide the Market Manager with your availability for the 2024 season, please complete this musician form.
