Permit application status updates are now available via email. Simply email your request to the department. Staff will answer inquiries in the order received. Skip the phone calls and trip to City Hall!
How to Confirm Property Within the City
Please confirm if the property is within the City of Falls Church limits before preparing plans or drawings and/or before submitting an application. The Postal Service has assigned Falls Church mailing addresses to many properties that are not actually located within the city.

Zip Codes & Addresses
The primary Falls Church city zip code is 22046, with a few properties in 22042, 22044, and 22205. Zip code 22040 is used for post office boxes. Most residential addresses in the city have 3 digits; addresses indicated on Leesburg Pike, Route 7, Arlington Boulevard, Route 50, Lee Highway, or Route 29 are likely not within the City of Falls Church.
