The Motorcycle Unit falls under the command of the Special Operations Division of the Sheriff's Office. The motorcycle deputy's duties consist of handling traffic complaints, funeral escorts, special events and participating in traffic safety and educational events.

Programs

We are particularly proud of our Motor Unit's support to the Toys for Tots, Easter Seals, Police Week and Memorial Day Parade support programs.The Motor Unit consists of highly skilled deputies who are law enforcement certified and have been trained in motorcycle operations through the Northern Virginia Criminal Justice Academy.
