Temporary Location Closing July 10 to Begin Library Move
The library renovation and expansion project is coming to an end and the outside of the new library building is looking great! There’s still work that needs to be done on the inside including moving our entire collection into its new home and setting up public and staff spaces. Our temporary location (at 601 S. Oak St.) will close permanently and we will suspend curbside pickup service starting July 10 at 5 pm so we can begin the process of moving back into our library building at 120 N. Virginia Ave, which will re-open on Monday, August 16, at 10 am. Learn more...
Books Sales Suspended Until Library Renovation Is Completed
The library is suspending book sales - both the ongoing book sale and the larger Monthly "Mega" Sales - while operating out of the temporary location. Book sales will resume after the library returns to the renovated and expanded building in May/June 2021.
Ongoing Book Sale
Used books, audios, music compact discs, and DVDs are always on sale at the Mary Riley Styles Public Library! We offer daily bargains at three different locations:
Audio visual materials in the alcove near the Circulation Desk
Adult books in the corridor near the elevator and restrooms
Children's and Teen materials in the corridor on the bookshelves in front of the elevator
We also hold a regular monthly mega-sale, usually on the last weekend of every month in the library's conference room. There are tables and tables covered with used books for adults and children and all at rock bottom prices!
Most hardback-books sell for $1 (+ tax), paperback-books for $0.50 (+ tax), and board books for $0.50 (+ tax). However, some prices may be higher depending on the item. All proceeds from the library book sales support library programs and services. So shop early and often!
