COVID-19 Vaccine Information

Visit the City of Falls Church Vaccine Appointment Information page for details on how to register for a COVID-19 vaccine. Note: Fairfax Health Department is the City of Falls Church's contracted Health Department. 
The Recreation and Parks Department offers a consolidated program of activities including social activities, recreation programs and trips for area seniors at the Senior Center located in the Community Center.

Due to the pandemic, the Senior Center is closed inside the Community Center until further notice but will be offering several programs virtually. For more information, contact Tracy Browand, Senior Center Coordinator, at or 703-248-5020.

Senior Center Interest Survey

The City of Falls Church Senior Center strives to provide outstanding and high-quality programs for everyone age 50 and over. Please take a moment to complete our online survey to ensure we continue to support our community's needs. 

Summer 2021 Virtual Programs and Activities

These programs and activities will be held on Zoom (unless otherwise specified). Participants will be provided with the Zoom link prior to the program's start. Contact Tracy Browand at 703-248-5020 or if you're interested in joining one of these virtual activities: 

Foreign Language Conversation Groups

All groups looking for new members. Some knowledge of the language is expected. These are not teaching classes. Informal groups meet weekly on Zoom. 

  • German Conversation: Tuesdays at 1pm (Note: German Conversation is looking for a new volunteer to facilitate discussion.)
  • Spanish Conversation: Wednesdays at 10am
  • Italian Conversation: Wednesday, at 1:30pm
  • French conversation: Thursdays at 10am

Military History

Join Military History Coordinator Ron Markiewicz every other Friday at 10am, last program of the season  will be Friday, June 11. Group takes a summer hiatus and will resume on Friday, September 10.

New Yorker Discussion Group

Join our monthly New Yorker reading group to share your thoughts on what you’ve read in a variety of articles. The group meets on the first Thursday of the month from 2-3pm. Mary Riley Styles Librarian Pete Sullivan leads the discussion. Contact him at for more information and to join the group. 

Snack and Chat

Sit back, relax in the comfort of your home, and chat with your friends every 1st and 3rd Monday at noon. 

Virtual Recipe Sharing Club

Come sit back and relax and share favorite recipes of the past and present. Meets 2nd Friday at 11am.

Virtual Trivia Club

Come play mixed trivia 4th Friday at 11am

Open Pickleball

Please note that both days are open play:

  • Mondays and Thursdays from 9am-Noon
  • Cavalier Trail Park
  • Free
  • No paddles are balls will be provided
