Sponsored by the City of Falls Church and the Victorian Society at Falls Church, in conjunction with the 28th Massachusetts Volunteer Infantry and the Falls Church Historical Commission.
From 1861-1865, the small farming village of Falls Church found itself on the edge of conflict. Join us on May 16, for a community event aimed to present and preserve Falls Church’s story and the experiences of those who lived here during those difficult years.
Programming includes access to Cherry Hill’s historic farmhouse and barn, children’s learning tent and living history from the 28th Massachusetts Volunteer Infantry, Ladies Sanitary commission, Yankee School Marm, Civil War Surgeon, Professor Thaddeus Lowe, and more!
Part of the day's activities includes a free bus tour of Civil War Trail locations around Falls Church. The bus departs at 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. Reserve your spot by emailing Corey Jannicelli at firstname.lastname@example.org.
