Join the City on Sunday, July 2, for free family fun, music, and fireworks at Meridian High School (121 Mustang Alley). With the completion of the new high school building and the ongoing construction, we encourage spectators to arrive early and use public transportation. Fireworks are scheduled to start at approximately 9:20 p.m.

6 p.m. - Gates open
- How to Arrive: There is no general onsite parking. Visitors are encouraged to park at the West Falls Church Metro Station Parking Garage. Parking at the garage is free. Tailgating inside the garage is prohibited, and violators may be asked to leave the premises.
- Accessible Parking: Accessible parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis beside the Mary Ellen Henderson Middle School. Enter the accessible parking from Route 7/Leesburg Pike and show your accessible parking placard; officers will direct vehicles.
- Residential Street Parking Restrictions: Parking will be restricted within City limits near Meridian High School so emergency vehicles can use residential streets. From 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Sunday, July 2. The following streets will have parking restricted to one side of the street only: Grove Ave., Birch St., Spruce St., Offut Dr., and Falls Ave.
- Visitors are allowed to bring small bags, coolers, food, beverages (not in glass containers), blankets, and camping or stadium style chairs with flat-based legs for seating.
- Snacks will be available for purchase.
- Alcohol, smoking, glass containers, fireworks of any kind, pets, and chairs with sharp or pointed legs are prohibited.
- Where NOT to Park
- Meridian High School and Mary Ellen Henderson parking lots: School parking lots will be restricted to event personnel and visitors with accessible parking placards.
- Virginia Tech Lot: This lot is overflow event seating.
- The Falls Church Plaza Shopping Center: The shopping center across from the High School, at 1200 W. Broad St., is for patrons of the shopping center businesses only. You may be towed if you park and leave the premise.
- Parking Reminder: Visitors should NOT park in private parking lots with posted "No Parking – Towing Enforced" signs. Many businesses enforce parking restrictions on weekends and holidays and may tow without notice.

- Where to View: The main seating area is the lawn/track at the Meridian High School Stadium. Please bring your own blanket or chairs.
- Overflow seating is in the Virginia Tech lot. Please be advised that the high school building may obstruct this view of the fireworks. Be sure to arrive early to save your spot in the main area.
Lane Closures
The City’s primary concern at the end of the night is pedestrian safety. Guests and neighbors can expect long traffic delays upon exiting the event. Lane closures will be in effect to provide additional pedestrian walkways.
