Senior Book Discussion offers senior citizens the opportunity to make friends, read new books, and have insightful literary conversations. For more than 25 years, the Mary Riley Styles Public Library has sponsored the Senior Book Discussion Series, which meets on Tuesday mornings (10:30 a.m.) in the Library Conference room approximately every six weeks between September and June.
Since its inception, more than 168 books have been read, split almost evenly between fiction and non-fiction. Meetings are informal and are led by library staff members Linda Baker and Sheila Frost. During the summer hiatus, books for the upcoming season are chosen by popular vote.
Please join the fun and attend the 27th season on September 16, 2014. New attendees are always welcome and reservations are not required.
