November is the beginning of Hypothermia season. Do you know what to do if you see someone who is unsheltered and at risk of hypothermia?

If you are concerned someone in the City of Falls Church could be sleeping out in the cold, especially in severe weather, please contact the Police Department non-emergency number at 703-241-5050 (TTY 711) after business hours and on weekends. During business hours (8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.) you may contact Housing and Human Services at 703-248-5005 (TTY 711).

Beginning November 1 through March 31, there will be additional shelter resources available to those who are homeless. Hypothermia Shelters have a no “turn away” policy and give the homeless an opportunity to protect themselves from the cold and severe weather. For additional information visit Housing and Human Services-Shelters.
