Recreation & Parks Department
The Recreation & Parks Department offers a year-round program of recreational and leisure-time activities for all age groups and interest levels. These programs include a variety of classes, athletic leagues, special events, and trips. We sponsor special events throughout the year including the annual Memorial Day Parade and Festival, July 4 Fireworks, the Fall Festival, and Holiday Craft Show. The Recreation & Parks Department is also responsible for managing and maintaining neighborhood parks and the Cherry Hill Farmhouse and Barn.
The Falls Church Community Center is the main location for the Recreation & Parks Department. The Community Center hosts the majority of our programs and is the location of our staff offices.
Adult Coed Softball Register your team now for the 2013 adult spring softball league! The Rec. & Parks Dept. offers two divisions for different levels of play. All games are played at George Mason High School from June 3rd through late July. Click HERE for the application and detailed information.

Memorial Day Parade & Festival- Monday, May 27 - 9.m. to 5 p.m. For 30 years, the City has hosted an annual Memorial Day Festival and Parade on Memorial Day. Festivities include a Veterans ceremony at the Falls Church Veterans Memorial, a Don Beyer 3K Fun Run, live entertainment, contests, food and craft vendors, and a lively parade down Park Avenue. Broadway Fitness 14 yrs. and up
Do you love to listen and dance to Broadway show tunes? Try our low-impact Broadway choreographed fitness class and get a great cardiovascular workout. This one hour dance exercise class includes leg work and crunches and will have you dancing (and humming) the rest of the day!
