Members

The Architectural Advisory Board (AAB) is composed of five members and one alternate, including, when possible, two licensed architects. Members are appointed by the City Council for three year terms.

Overview

The Advisory Board (AAB) advises the Planning Commission, the Board of Zoning Appeals, and the Zoning Administrator; reviews building permits and site plans; and makes recommendations to the Zoning Administrator and/or Planning Commission.

The Board reviews architectural design, texture, color and construction materials, scale of development, aesthetic and spatial relationship of development, landscaping configuration, location of signs, exterior lighting and sign applications, as well as requests for sign variances.
