Historic Architectural Review Board, City of Falls Church, VA
Historic Architectural Review Board (HARB)
Reviews applications for permits to demolish or move protected structures in the historic district, which is a zoning overlay district of the entire City. Historic structures are those built as residences during or before 1910, and any other structure expressly protected by the ordinance. Historic structures may not be razed or removed without a permit approved by the HARB. For alterations of historic structures, the HARB makes recommendations only. The HARB advises the Planning Commission, Historical Commission, and Planning Division.
Meeting Schedule
Meets at 7:30 p.m. the fourth Thursday of each month at City Hall in the Oak Room, 3rd Floor, East Wing, 300 Park Avenue. (Except in November when the meeting is held on the third Thursday of the month because the regular meeting date is a holiday.)
