Ring in 2013 in the City of Falls Church
Ring in the New Year with FREE family-friendly festivities at the 15th Annual Watch Night New Year's Eve Celebration in the City of Falls Church. With events and entertainment both indoors and outdoors, The Little City's celebration is unique because it is free and open-to-the-public.
The City of Falls Church government, businesses, organizations, churches, civic groups and many, many committed volunteers come together to throw what The Washington Post Express called "the coolest New Year's Eve event" for families in the Metro area.
Big Night in the Little City
Watch Night is unique not only for featuring amazing local talent, but also because of the enormous volunteer network that makes it possible. Highlights include:
- Free Shuttle Bus every 30 minutes from East Falls Church Metro Station to all venues, running from 7 p.m. to 1 a.m.
- Live bands
- Indoor and Outdoor venues
- 20 piece Orchestra with Swing Dancing
- Karaoke
- DJ Dance
- Caricaturist
- Face Painters
- Balloon Artists
- Free Popcorn, Hot Chocolate, and Soup while supplies last
- Velcro Wall
- Moonbounce for small children
- Firepits for warming
- Walking Watch Night Menus
- Free balloons for hats and countdown wave
- Free noisemakers for countdown

The Countdown
No Watch Night would be complete without the traditional New Year's countdown spectacular, including the lowering of the historic star that first lit the Falls Church sky in 1948 (the year Falls Church became an independent city).
