The Community Center is open for summer camps but remains closed to the general public. Only staff and campers are currently permitted in the Falls Church Community Center at this time.

The Senior Center and Teen Center remain closed.
All City parks and amenities are open. The City of Falls Church Recreation and Parks Department does not have the resources to disinfect park equipment and facilities to eradicate tracings of COVD-19. The best ways to avoid contracting or spreading COVID-19 are to: wear a face covering, stay six feet from others, wash your hands often and stay home if you are sick.
Tennis courts are open by reservation. Visit our tennis page for information on safety precautions and making a reservation.
Picnic Shelter rentals are permitted as of July 15, 2020. At this time, we are not permitting any indoor rentals. Learn more about booking a picnic shelter here.
Temporary Commercial Activity Permits are now being accepted. The application is for businesses and non-profit organizations located within the City of Falls Church.
The Cherry Hill Farmhouse is being used for summer camps but is currently closed to the general public. Visit the Cherry Hill Farmhouse virtually for museum at home activities or take a virtual tour.
Welcome to Recreation & Parks!
The Recreation and Parks Department offers a year-round program of recreational and leisure-time activities for all age groups and interest levels. These programs include a variety of classes, athletic leagues, special events, and trips.
We sponsor special events throughout the year including the annual Memorial Day Parade and Festival, July 4 Fireworks, the Fall Festival, and Holiday Craft Show.
The Recreation and Parks Department is also responsible for managing and maintaining neighborhood parks and the Cherry Hill Farmhouse and Barn.
The Falls Church Community Center is the main location for the Recreation and Parks Department. The Community Center hosts the majority of our programs and is the location of our staff offices.
The mission of the Falls Church Recreation & Parks Department is to provide a year-round program of recreation and leisure-time activities for all groups and interest levels. The Department is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life and fostering a sense of community by providing superior recreational, educational and cultural services and through the effective maintenance and protection of the City's natural resources.
