About

Crossman Park is the only park of its kind in the City of Falls Church. No other park has the same array of natural features. Heavily wooded with a stream running through it, Crossman Park provides residents a unique opportunity to enjoy nature in an otherwise heavily urbanized area.

History

"Isaac Crossman was a highly respected citizen and a man of considerable wealth," as his July 1900 obituary noted: 'A large portion of the town of Falls Church is built upon land which he originally owned. Through his thrift and industry, he accumulated quite a respectable fortune.'" From "Images of America: Victorian Falls Church" by The Victorian Society at Falls Church.
