Gift Card System Operational

The Little City Gift Card vendor, Yiftee, announced that issues are resolved, and gift cards can be redeemed. The credit card processing system that Yiftee utilizes had a widespread system error.

Because of the outage that occurred over the weekend of March 11-12, bonus cards set to expire on any date in March are now good through March 31.

The City of Falls Church is excited to launch The Little City Gift Card program. This new digital e-gift card is a new way to support Little City small businesses, restaurants, and non-profits. 

Remember: Bonus Cards Expire 90 Days from Purchase

If you received a bonus gift card from the holiday promotion, please note that bonus gift cards expire 90 days from when they were issued. Customers are encouraged to use bonus gift cards first. The Little City Gift Card does not expire and can still be redeemed at participating businesses. 

Customers are still able to purchase The Little City Gift Card but will no longer receive a bonus gift card with their purchase.

About the Program

An eDelivery fee of $1.00 + 5% of the gift card (non-bonus) will be applied. Unless prohibited by law, a $3.00 fee will be deducted monthly from eGift balance starting first day after 12 consecutive months of inactivity. Activity means any action resulting in a change in eGift balance, other than fee imposition, or adjustment due to error or prior transaction reversal. 

The City of Falls Church recognizes the impact of the COVID-19 Pandemic on small businesses and non-profit organizations in the City of Falls Church. The Economic Development Office (EDO) and Economic Development Authority (EDA) created The Little City Gift Card Program to assist businesses and non-profit organizations recover from the impacts of COVID-19. The Little City Gift Card Program is funded through the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA).
