Fire Marshal

Welcome to the City of Falls Church Fire Marshal website. The Fire Marshal is a sworn law enforcement division of the Police Department and is responsible for enforcing the Virginia Statewide Fire Prevention Code, which has been adopted by the City of Falls Church. Responsibilities include: issuing permits, performing inspections related to the fire code, regulating hazardous material use, reviewing plans for development and investigating incidents involving fires, environmental crimes and explosions.

The Office of the Fire Marshal meets the requirements for the Virginia Department of Housing and Community Development and is accredited through the Virginia Department of Fire Programs.
