The Falls Church Court Services Unit operates a Community Service Work Program (CSWP) for youth involved with the
Juvenile and District Relations Court. The Court Services Unit and the Sheriff's Office has developed a number of community service work sites. These sites accept youth for community service work assignments and the supervisors work closely with probation counselors and the Sheriff's Office to ensure workers meet the requirements of the program.
The CSWP offers the Court an additional sanction for youth who commit minor, non-violent offenses and teaches youth to be accountable for their actions by allowing them to perform restitution that is beneficial to the community in which they offended. All of the CSWP work sites are located within the City of Falls Church. The CSWP also provides youth with work-oriented experience and a sense of accomplishment.
