The Recreation and Parks Department offers a consolidated program of activities including social activities, recreation programs and trips for older adults age 50 and over at the Senior Center located in the Community Center.
Become a Member
To participate in any Senior Center programs, you must officially join the Senior Center as a member. Please call the Front Desk at 703-248-5027 (TTY 711) to register. Free for City of Falls Church residents and $12 per person for non - city residents.

Foreign Language Conversation Groups
All groups are looking for new members. Some knowledge of the language is expected. These are not teaching classes. Informal groups meet weekly on Zoom and in person. Spanish Conversation and French Conversation meet virtually (June through August) and last meeting of the month is in person - September through May.
German Conversation: (volunteer facilitator needed!)
Spanish Conversation: Wednesdays at 10 a.m.
Italian Conversation: Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. (Hybrid)
French conversation: Thursdays at 10 a.m.
Join Military History Coordinator Ron Markiewicz every other Friday at 10 a.m. in the Senior Center. Please call the Senior Center at 703-248-5020 (TTY 711) for more information. Group takes a summer hiatus and will resume the Friday, September 8.
New Yorker Discussion Group
Join our monthly New Yorker reading group to share your thoughts on what you’ve read in a variety of articles. The group meets Virtually on the first Thursday of the month from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m.

See the world from the comfort of your chair. Join us on the third Tuesday at 1pm to watch a video about a different part of the world. The group meets in the Teen Center of the Community Center. This program is brought to you by the Falls Church Senior Center and Mary Riley Styles Public Library. Program takes a summer hiatus and will resume on September 19.
New: Pickleball Club
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday: All levels of play from Noon to 3 p.m. at Cavalier Courts. Playing time changes from morning to afternoon play depending on the seasons.
Registration required. Must be amember of the Senior Center and a member of the club to participate.
