Hypothermia Homeless Shelter in the City
Friends of Falls Church Homeless Shelter is open December 1 through March 31 only, providing relief from harsh winter weather. The shelter opens at 6 p.m. each day and closes at 8 a.m.

If you see someone at night who is unsheltered and you think could be at risk of hypothermia, call the Police Department's non-emergency phone line at 703-248-5053 (TTY 711).
Emergency Shelter Program
The City of Falls Church contracts with Fairfax County to provide shelters for individuals and families who are homeless. These shelters are operated by community nonprofit organizations under contract with Fairfax County. The shelters have additional capacity during the winter months to take in people overnight who are at risk of hypothermia.

Emergency Shelter for Adults with Children
Homeless adults with children (ages infant to 17 years old) should contact Coordinated Services planning at 703-222-0880 (TTY 711), Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for referrals to family-oriented support and services. If you need assistance after hours, please contact or visit one of Fairfax County's family shelters.
