[ARCHIVED] Pop-Up Shops Support Local and Small Businesses

  • At the Falls Church Farmers Market (City Hall Parking Lot, 300 Park Ave.)

The City of Falls Church Recreation and Parks Department is launching weekly pop-up shops at the Farmers Market (City Hall Parking Lot, 300 Park Ave.). Every Saturday from November 21 through December 19 from 8 a.m. to Noon, two crafters, artists, or other vendors will sell gifts, art, jewelry, and décor. The full list of vendors is available on the City’s website, www.fallschurchva.gov/PopUps.

The pop-up shops are in place of the popular Annual Holiday Gift and Craft show. Usually held the first weekend of December, the event is cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The schedule is as follows; more vendors will be announced soon:

November 21

  • Jenny Paxton Calligraphy
    Personalized calligraphy ornaments and return address stamps! Both are perfect for gifting or hanging on your own tree or putting your return address on your holiday cards.
  • Roots of Development
    Handmade Haitian metal art pieces. Each unique piece is cut and hammered from a recycled oil drum by Haitian artisans from the town of Croix des Bouquets. They are for indoor or outdoor use and all proceeds support the work of Roots of Development, a Washington D.C. based nonprofit organization that has been working in rural Haiti for over 12 years.   

December 5

  • Jewelry Designs by Mary Ruth
    Handmade beaded, leather and fabric jewelry designs for everyone! Plus handmade pressed flower cards.
  • Herban Avenues
    Relaxing herb teas, herbal soaps, natural bath oils, fizz bombs, scrubs, herbal remedies and aromatherapy made in Virginia. Original recipes from a trained herbalist with 25 years experience.

December 12

  • SASstitch
    Three sisters rekindle their stitching talents in retirement to bring you children's crochet gifts and 18" doll clothes and shoes.
