City of Falls Church offices and services - including City Hall, the Mary Riley Styles Public Library, and Community Center - will be closed on Monday, July 4, in observation of the Independence Day holiday.
The Recreation and Parks Department is hosting three free events around the City; no fireworks this year. Download the Independence Day Flyer.
Sunday, July 3 (2 p.m. - 5 p.m.)
- Participate in a scavenger hunt in and around City parks. Clues will be posted on the City's website and social media at 1 p.m.
Sunday, July 3 (5 p.m.)
- Join the City for a performance from the Quantico Marine Corps Band in Cherry Hill Park (312 Park Ave.).
Monday, July 4 (12 p.m.)
- Hosted by the Village Preservation and Improvement Society, join the City for a reading of the Declaration of Independence in the City Council Chambers.
