This Town Hall will focus on the high school design, with a very quick update on the West Falls Church Economic Development Project by Wyatt Shields.

From the Falls Church City Public Schools:

With the unanimous vote of approval from the Falls Church School Board and City Council, we are now fully engaged with the Gilbane Design-Build team with collaboration and engaging community discussions on the new George Mason High School.

As previously announced, we've scheduled a series of public meetings to review and receive feedback on the design. The first will be this Sunday afternoon, August 5th at 2:00 p.m. in the George Mason High School Auditorium. For those unable to attend, a video of the session will be made available.

This initial session will include an in-depth presentation from the Design-Build team, a summary overview of the project schedule and a description of the process over the next 8-10 weeks. There will also be an opportunity to receive initial questions and feedback from the community. All questions and answers will be available online.

Also, we have set up an email address to receive questions on the project at any time during this review process.

The focused subcommittee breakout sessions will take place on September 6 and 23 providing feedback to inform the updates to the design and leading up to the final presentation in October before entering the detailed phase of design.
