Recreation and Parks Summer Camp Cancellations

All City of Falls Church Recreation and Parks summer camps scheduled for June 15 - July 2 (with the exception of the Summer Fun Playground Program) are canceled. Decisions on July and August summer camp operating status will be made by June 15 and will depend on the region’s reopening Phase (per the Governor’s orders). All individuals registered for a canceled camp program will receive a full refund of the registration fee. Refunds will be made via the original payment method. Due to the high volume of refunds please allow up to four weeks for processing. Visit for full details.

City Hall is Closed, but the Government’s Core Programs and Services are Open

All City buildings are now closed to the public, including City Hall, the Community Center, and the Mary Riley Styles Public Library. Residents can conduct most business online (see quick links below). City staff are available by phone and email.  Core service staff are available by in-person appointment if necessary. Click here for details.

Playgrounds and Park Facilities are Closed; Parks Open

  • City fields, tennis courts, basketball courts, and the skate park are now closed to the public, regardless of group size.
  • Park amenities - such as benches and trash receptacles - are not sanitized by City staff. Visitors are encouraged to practice smart hygiene when visiting a City park.
  • City playgrounds remain closed. They are unsafe to play on as they are not sanitized.
  • City Parks remain open to the public, but please practice safe social distancing when visiting.
